Lamivudine and zidovudine combination is used in the treatment of human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) infection. HIV is the virus that causes acquired immune deficiency syndrome (AIDS). Lamivudine and zidovudine combination will not cure or prevent HIV infection or the symptoms of AIDS.
